I'm not sure exactly why, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading this piece. The fact that he never actually mentions what the "thing" is that so many people are doing made it a lot more interesting, although I was a little annoyed until I figured out what he was referring to. Maybe that was why I liked it - it kept me guessing even after I was done reading? Suspense is an awfully curious phenomenon.
